Within the framework of the international exhibition Heimtextil Tashkent, held from November 6 to 8, together with GIZ Uzbekistan, a seminar was held to support the private sector in the economic development of their activities. In this seminar, the head of the GUZ Partners Gesamtmasche project, Malika Akramova, made a presentation on the topic “Requirements of the European market, product certification, preparation for negotiations with buyers.”
The presentation aroused great interest among Uzbek textile manufacturers. Malika Akramova shared her practical experience and knowledge to help understand the intricacies of entering the European market:
• Modern requirements of the European Union for textile products: The presentation highlighted the key quality standards, safety, environmental standards and social responsibility requirements that must be taken into account when producing goods for Europe.
• Product certification system: the important certificates needed to enter the European market (for example, OEKO-TEX, GOTS, REACH) were described, the procedures for obtaining certificates and their importance for successful trading were explained.
• Preparation for negotiations with buyers: practical recommendations were presented on how to prepare for negotiations with potential buyers, including product presentation, price determination and delivery conditions.
Malika Akramova’s presentation is a valuable tool for Uzbek textile manufacturers, helping them:
• Better understand the requirements of the European market and prepare your products for export.
