Silvia Jungbauer, Director of the German textile and fashion industry association Gesamtmasche, conducted a working visit to Uzbekistan, which included high-level meetings, visits to enterprises, and discussions on future cooperation in the textile sector. The program covered several regions of the country — Fergana, Namangan, and Karshi — as well as a series of meetings in Tashkent.

Silvia Jungbauer, Director of the German textile and fashion industry association Gesamtmasche, conducted a working visit to Uzbekistan, which included high-level meetings, visits to enterprises, and discussions on future cooperation in the textile sector. The program covered several regions of the country — Fergana, Namangan, and Karshi — as well as a series of meetings in Tashkent.

Namangan: Dialogue with Enterprises and Strengthening Collaboration

In Namangan, productive meetings took place with textile companies. The enterprises presented their achievements, production capacities, and current initiatives. The parties discussed opportunities to expand cooperation, introduce innovations, and enhance product quality in line with international standards.
These meetings became an important platform for discussing the objectives of the project’s second phase and building long-term cooperation between Gesamtmasche and the region’s textile companies.

Fergana: Visit to Teamdress and Meeting with the Academic Community

In the Fergana region, the delegation visited Teamdress, where the company presented its production processes, quality management approaches, and development plans.
A meeting was also held with the Vice-Rector of Fergana Polytechnic University – Dekhkanov Sherzod , during which the parties discussed the preparation of qualified specialists, the integration of educational programs with industry needs, and opportunities for expanding cooperation between Germany and Uzbekistan in vocational education.

Karshi: Meetings with Regional Leadership and Visits to Key Enterprises

In the Kashkadarya region, negotiations were held with the regional GovernorAzimov Murotjon and the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and IndustrySamarov Mirzohid . The discussions focused on developing the region’s industrial potential and creating favorable conditions for international partnerships.
The delegation also visited Bunyodkor Textile and Bunyodkor Technopark, where were presented the production capacities, technologies, and potential areas of cooperation.

Tashkent: Meetings with Leading Institutions and International Organizations

In Uzbekistan’s capital, strategic meetings were held with:
• the Embassy of Germany in Uzbekistan,
• the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade (MIIT),
• Uzstandard Agency,
• representatives of the international initiatives Better Work and OEKO-TEX.

The discussions covered certification, quality, working conditions, sustainable production, and the potential for expanding German-Uzbek cooperation in the textile industry.

Workshop with the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association “Uztextileprom”

One of the key moments of the visit was a workshop with the staff of the Uztextileprom Association. The event focused on exchanging expertise, discussing current industry challenges, and defining common development priorities.
The workshop contributed to strengthening practical cooperation and advancing projects in the fields of quality, sustainability, and competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s textile products. Also plans, ideas, and priorities for further work and cooperation were discussed.

The working visit of Silvia Jungbauer marked an important step toward the further development of German-Uzbek cooperation. Meetings on the ground, engagement with enterprises, and dialogue with educational and governmental institutions highlighted the commitment of both sides to strengthening partnership, sharing expertise, and jointly advancing projects that support the sustainable development of the country’s textile sector.
