Special training organized to increase export potential

On May 12, 2026, an important training session dedicated to strengthening the export potential of Uzbekistan’s textile industry was held in Tashkent. The event was organized by Gesamtmasche within the framework of the GUZ Partners project, in cooperation with the Uztextileprom Association and the Small Business Association under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The training focused on Germany’s advanced experience in the textile sector and provided participants with practical knowledge on:
• modern strategies for entering international markets;
• standards and opportunities for accessing the European Union and German markets;
• practical mechanisms for building sustainable and long-term export activities.

A special role in the training was played by local expert Matyakub Dosov — participant of the first phase Train-the-Trainer (TOT) program in Germany and a professional with extensive experience in the textile industry. Having completed specialized training in Germany within the framework of the project, he shared valuable practical insights on working effectively with international buyers, conducting successful negotiations, and building long-term business relationships in global markets. His contribution became a vivid example of how international knowledge transfer can strengthen local expertise and support the development of Uzbekistan’s textile sector.

The event also brought together young female leaders from the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, emphasizing the important role of women in the future development of the textile and apparel sector. Their participation highlighted the growing involvement of young women who aspire to become future entrepreneurs, managers, and industry professionals. The training served as an inspiring platform where the next generation could directly engage with experienced experts, gain practical international knowledge, and strengthen their vision for the future of Uzbekistan’s textile industry.

Through such initiatives, the GUZ Partners project continues to contribute not only to increasing the export capacity of Uzbekistan’s textile industry, but also to developing strong human capital, supporting future women entrepreneurs, and strengthening international cooperation in the sector.
