Namangan Hosts Final Event of Phase One of the GUZ Partners Project

Namangan hosted a major event marking the completion of Phase One of the GUZ Partners project, implemented with the support of Gesamtmasche and the Uztextileprom Association. The project aims to improve production efficiency, introduce modern technologies, and strengthen cooperation among textile enterprises in Uzbekistan.

The event brought together more than 40 representatives of textile enterprises, partner organizations, and the academic community. Participants also included representatives from neighboring regions, among them companies from the pilot region of Fergana, demonstrating the growing interest in the project’s results and expanding collaboration beyond Namangan.

Specialists and faculty members from the Namangan Technical University and the Institute of Economics and Business also took part, highlighting the important role of educational institutions in supporting sector development.

During the event, detailed presentations were delivered on the work carried out during the first phase of the project. Participants reviewed key achievements, including:
• implementation of practical recommendations to improve product quality;
• development of employee skills through training programs;
• initial examples of successful cases and positive changes within companies.

The active involvement of enterprises from across the region played a significant role in the successful implementation of the project.

A significant part of the meeting focused on discussing the goals of Phase Two, which will include expanding project directions, enhancing technical support, deepening work with production processes, and engaging new partners.

During the open dialogue, participants shared their expectations, suggestions, and ideas for future cooperation. This helped identify real business needs and outline priority areas for the next stage.

Special attention was given to strengthening ties between industry and higher education. The involvement of Namangan universities creates a strong foundation for training qualified specialists, advancing research, and integrating innovations into production.

The completion of Phase One of the GUZ Partners project marks both an important milestone and the beginning of a new stage of development for the region’s textile sector. With the joint efforts of enterprises, associations, and academic institutions across regions, the project continues to open new opportunities for growth and modernization.
