Continuation of International Cooperation: Visit of German Brands to Uzbekistan
As part of strengthening bilateral economic ties and developing cooperation in the textile industry, within the framework of the GUZ Partners program, and with the support of the German industry association Gesamtmasche and the UzTextileProm Association, Uzbekistan welcomed representatives of two German brands at the end of June 2025. The companies expressed keen interest in developing cooperation and localizing production in our country.
This visit became a logical continuation of the successful business trip and forum organized earlier this year, in April, in Stuttgart, Germany.
It is worth recalling that the April program included a series of meetings, visits to leading enterprises, and a specialized business forum where the investment opportunities of Uzbekistan in the textile and light industry were presented, along with government support measures for foreign investors.
The interest shown by German companies towards the Uzbek market has now translated into practical steps. During the June visit, representatives of the German brands became acquainted with the production capacities of Uzbek enterprises in Tashkent, Namangan, Bukhara, Samarkand regions, as well as the city of Tashkent. They held meetings with potential partners and discussed prospects for cooperation in the following areas:
✔️ Joint production of textile products
✔️ Localization of certain technological processes
✔️ Investment in the development of the raw material base and implementation of innovations
✔️ Creation of high value-added products for European markets
Such visits once again confirm the high potential of Uzbekistan as a reliable and promising partner for international business. The Gesamtmasche association will continue to provide comprehensive support to both international and local companies interested in cooperation, opening new opportunities for the development of Uzbekistan’s textile sector.
As part of the Training of Trainers (ToT) program, implemented with the support of GESAMTMASCHE under the GUZ Partners project, a comprehensive week-long training session dedicated to textile material dyeing technologies took place in collaboration with the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry. A key event of the program was the participation of international expert from Germany, Matthias Koch, a representative of the Texoversum educational center, who has extensive experience in textile chemistry, sustainable production, and industrial consulting.
As part of the GUZ Partners program and with the support of the German textile industry association Gesamtmasche, specialized workshops aimed at the development and support of women’s entrepreneurship in the textile industry will be held in the Fergana Valley in July 2025.
