Training in Tashkent as part of the TOT Program: Careful Management of Outerwear and Modern Technologies in the Textile Industry

As part of the Trainers of trainers (TOT) program organized by the Gesamtmasche association with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Uztextilprom, a successful week-long training was held, conducted by international expert Josef Klein. Josef Klein is an experienced specialist who founded the Hugo Boss factory in Turkey and worked there for 25 years, making him a valuable source of knowledge in the textile industry. This seminar was an important step in enhancing the qualifications of textile industry specialists and exchanging best practices.

The training consisted of two phases, each of which was a significant step towards improving the qualifications and professionalism of the trainers. The first phase focused on training the trainers of the TOT program, Kamola Aliyeva, Kemal Shen, and Mahmud Raimov. During this phase, they summarized the results of previous seminars, including a two-week training session in Germany that allowed for the exchange of experiences and best practices. By interacting with the expert, they also developed an educational curriculum and prepared a presentation that will serve as a foundation for successfully conducting further training for the trainers themselves.

The second phase took place at the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry. This seminar gathered representatives from various companies such as LLC “Diva Tex,” LLC “Bakht Textile,” LLC “Yustex,” LLC “Aya Global Tex,” LLC “FerDil Textile,” LLC “Saas Tex Invest,” LLC “Nurteks,” “Samo Group,” LLC “Perfect Textile,” faculty members from the design department, garment construction, management, and marketing, doctoral students, as well as students interested in current topics in the textile and light industry.

The seminar left an unforgettable impression on all participants, significantly impacting their professional development and expanding their knowledge horizons. Interaction, discussions, and experience exchange created an atmosphere of collaboration and creativity, which will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the future of our industry. Josef Klein shared his knowledge about modern technologies and management methods in the textile industry, with special attention given to careful management of outerwear.

During the session, key aspects of Lean Management in production were discussed:

  • Optimization of production processes: How to ensure high quality and durability of outerwear at minimal costs.
  • Technologies and materials: Innovative approaches to selecting fabrics and accessories that contribute not only to aesthetics but also to product functionality.
  • Inventory management: Effective methods for planning and managing inventory to minimize waste and increase profitability.
  • Quality standards: How adherence to international standards can enhance product competitiveness in the global market.
  • Environmental aspects: The importance of careful resource management and environmental considerations in outerwear production.

The discussions were vibrant, with participants actively asking questions, indicating high engagement and a desire to learn. A practical block was also included, during which participants were able to apply their acquired knowledge in practice and discuss real cases, including lean management strategies.

We received numerous positive feedback from participants, inspiring us to continue our work on developing the textile industry in Uzbekistan. We thank all participants for their active involvement, as well as the Gesamtmasche team for their charismatic and professional conduct of the training!

We are confident that this knowledge will help strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the textile market and contribute to the country’s economic development.
