Today, on July 16, 2025, a training seminar dedicated to the development of women’s entrepreneurship in the textile industry took place in Namangan, Uzbekistan. The event was organized by the German industry association Gesamtmasche, with the support of the Uzbek Association “Uztekstilprom”.

 

Women’s Entrepreneurship Seminar Held in Namangan

Today, on July 16, 2025, a training seminar dedicated to the development of women’s entrepreneurship in the textile industry took place in Namangan, Uzbekistan. The event was organized by the German industry association Gesamtmasche, with the support of the Uzbek Association “Uztekstilprom”.

The goal of the training was to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills necessary for successfully creating, developing, promoting, and managing a textile brand, as well as preparing for entry into international markets. The seminar was designed for both aspiring and active women entrepreneurs in the Fergana Valley region.

🔹 The seminar program covered several key areas:
• Fundamentals of creating and developing a textile brand
• Packaging, promotion, and effective sales through Instagram and online marketplaces
• Production management and quality control
• Export readiness and entering international markets

Participants discussed real-world business cases and received actionable tools that they could apply immediately in their work. The seminar also served as a platform for networking, experience sharing, and motivation for further growth.

Special attention was given to brand identity, digital sales channels, and international quality standards required for exports. The training helped women entrepreneurs better understand the specifics of international cooperation and potential pathways for scaling their businesses.

📍A similar training is planned for next week in the city of Kokand and Andijan, where women entrepreneurs and textile companies from the region are also expected to participate. The organizers expressed their belief that such initiatives will continue to support the growth of women-led businesses and strengthen the textile industry in Uzbekistan.

As part of the GUZ Partners program and with the support of the German textile industry association Gesamtmasche, specialized workshops aimed at the development and support of women’s entrepreneurship in the textile industry will be held in the Fergana Valley in July 2025.
